Lungmen's Political Machine and Its Operators

Lungmen, a semi-autonomous Mobile City nestled within the greater Yan territory, provides a dense political stage for much of the Arknights anime. Its ruler, Wei Yenwu, is a Qilin whose political skill has elevated the city into a major regional power while keeping an iron grip on law and order. Reunion and the Threat to Chernobog

The antagonistic force driving much of the Arknights narrative is Reunion, a movement helmed by the powerful Talulah Artorius, who orchestrates assaults on both Chernobog and Lungmen. Talulah appears to share a personal history with Ch'en, lending emotional gravity to the conflict beyond mere military opposition. Reunion's elite roster is varied and unsettling: Crownslayer, a Reproba built for quick, silent assassinations; Skullshatterer, an Ursus who wields a grenade launcher and boosts her comrades' morale on the field; and Faust, also called Sasha, a cloaking sniper who leads a dedicated marksman unit. Perhaps most disturbing is Mephisto, a sadistic boy who commands Reunion's forces in Chernobog, even as his decisions occasionally put him at odds with other leaders in the movement. The Ursus girl Misha, initially rescued by Rhodes Island Operators in Lungmen, is later revealed to have ties to Skullshatterer, blurring the boundary between victim and operative.
